more real and truthful,
that speaks about individuality,
courage to be yourself,
and your very own sensibility.
First. I am a blessed mother of twin girls.
Secondly. A lucky woman to do what I'm passionate about.
I was brought up in my mom's manufacturing company in Lithuania where I got hooked up with fashion at an early age. I later studied Fashion at Istituto Marangoni in London and Polimoda in Florence. Maybe it was my naivety or passioness to start my own fashion label. Or it might have been the soft alpaca yarn that I found while studying in Florence.
I honestly always believed in doing what we love.
In having the freedom of choice.
In making a small change in life.
And being this small change ourselves.
Simplicity is the essence of my style. I design with respect for earth’s colours and textures, importance of natural materials and honour artisanal work.
Our sweaters aren’t mass produced. Each sweater is knitted by skilled women using domestic knitting machines. Most of the sweaters we knit are made-to-order and carries a bit of the knitter’s energy. To master this craft a lot of talent, imagination and devotion are needed.
Our classical styles do not change seasonally, we only add new colours and few trend styles by season. We make casual, timeless quality designs that our customers want to wear again and again. SALANIDA sweater is a choice for cold winter days and chilly summer nights.
It is important that you take good care of your SALANIDA sweater so it takes good care back of you.
